  • Author: Emily Cooks
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Tender and flavorful swordfish marinated in a zesty lemon-herb blend, then grilled, pan-seared, or baked to perfection. A quick and easy family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Swordfish steaks (at least 1 inch thick)

Instructions

1. In a shallow dish or resealable bag, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.

2. Place the swordfish steak in the marinade, ensuring it’s coated on all sides.

3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.

4. Choose your cooking method:

* Grilling: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates. Remove swordfish from marinade. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Let rest for a few minutes.

* Pan-Searing: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove swordfish from marinade. Sear for 4-5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Let rest for a few minutes.

* Baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place swordfish steak in a baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Let rest for a few minutes.

5. Serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Red pepper flakes can be added to the marinade for a kick. Lime juice can substitute lemon juice. Overcooking swordfish will result in dry fish.
