These delightful Snowball Cookies are melt-in-your-mouth perfection! A classic holiday treat, they’re easy to make and coated in a generous layer of powdered sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for coating
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds
Instructions
1. Combine melted butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
2. Stir in vanilla extract.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Stir in chopped nuts.
6. Cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
8. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
10. While warm, gently roll cookies in powdered sugar.
11. Cool completely on a wire rack.
12. Roll cooled cookies in powdered sugar again.
