Description

This easy Cracker Barrel Meatloaf recipe brings the comforting classic right to your home kitchen. A hearty, satisfying dish, perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

2. Combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently.

3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared pan.

4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

5. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and vinegar. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and thickens slightly.

6. Pour glaze over meatloaf and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

7. Rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a moister meatloaf, soak breadcrumbs in milk. Don’t overmix. Use a meat thermometer. Try variations with added vegetables, cheese, or different glazes. Freezes well.
